सिकंदर वही होता है, जो दुखो से लड़ता है – Auto Driver Deshraj की कहानी !

ये कहानी एक बुज़ुर्ग ऑटो ड्राइवर ( Auto Driver Deshraj) की है। जिनका नाम देशराज है और उम्र 74 साल है। उनके दोनों बेटों की मौत हो चुकी है, ऐसे में  वो अकेले ही अपने परिवार का भरण-पोषण कर रहे है , इनके परिवार मे सात सदस्य है, जिनमे से पोते-पोतियों पढ़ाई का जिम्मा भी उनके ऊपर ही है।

6 साल पहले उनका बड़ा बेटा हमेशा की तरह काम पर निकला था। लेकिन घर वापस नहीं लौटा। करीब एक सप्ताह बाद उसका शव एक ऑटो में मिला! वो कहते है बड़े बेटे को खोने का ग़म ऐसा था जैसे मेरा एक हिस्सा मर गया हो !  वो बस 40 साल का था ! बड़े बेटे को खोने का गम भी वो ज्यादा दिन तक नहीं मना पाए क्योंकि आर्थिक परिस्थिति इसकी अनुमति नहीं दे रही थी। इसलिए, दूसरे ही दिन से वह ऑटो चलाने लगे।

ये दुःख का पहाड़ फिर २ साल बाद टुटा जब उनके छोटे बेटे ने आत्महत्या कर ली ! उम्र के उस दौर में जब एक पिता को सहारा चाहिए होता है तब दो -दो जवान बेटे को खोने का दर्द किसी भी पिता को इतना खोखला कर देता है कि शायद वह अपने पैरों पर भी न खड़े हो पाए। लेकिन देशराज के पास तो अब जिम्मेदारी और दोगुनी बढ़ गई थी। परिवार में अब पत्नी, दो बहुएं और चार पोता पोती ही रह गए थे। जिनका पालन पोषण अब उन्हें है देखना था।

वो कहते है कि छोटे बेटे के दाह संस्कार के बाद उनकी पोती जो 9वी  कक्षा में थी, उसने पूछा , दादाजी, क्या अब मेरा स्कूल छूट जायगा ?, मैंने अपनी सारी हिम्म्त जुटाई और उससे कहा ” नहीं बेटी , तुम जितना पढ़ना चाहो उतना पढ़ो ! देशराज ने मीडिया से बातचीत में बताया कि पोते पोतियों की पढ़ाई न छूटे इसलिए उन्होंने सुबह 6 बजे से देर रात तक ऑटो चलाना शुरू किया।

इतना करने के बाद भी महीने में बस वो 10,000 तक ही कमा पाते है, जिसमें  से 6 हजार पोते पोतियों की पढ़ाई और बाकी के 4 हज़ार में सात लोगों के खाने का इंतज़ाम होता है। कई दिन ऐसे भी बीते जब परिवार के पास कुछ खाने को नहीं होता था। बीच में पत्नी के बीमार हो जाने के कारण इधर उधर से दवाइयों के लिए पैसे भी लेने पड़े।

मगर जब 10 वीं में उनकी पोती ने 80% नंबर से बोर्ड एग्जाम पास किया तो उन्हें लगा जैसे वो अपन ऑटो आसमान में उड़ा रहे है और इस खुशी के सामने सारे गम फीके पड़ गए। उस दिन देशराज ने पूरे दिन लोगों को फ्री में अपने ऑटो में बैठाया।

देशराज जी से जब पोती ने बीएड की पढ़ाई करने के लिए दिल्ली जाने को कहा तो वो जानते थे कि ऐसा करने के लिए उनके पास पैसे नहीं हैं। लेकिन अपनी पोती को पढ़ाने के लिए उन्होंने घर बेच दिया। पोती को दिल्ली भेजा और बाकी के परिवार के सदस्यों को रिश्तेदारों के घर। अब खुद का घर नहीं बचा तो देशराज ऑटो में सोने लगे। वह अब ऑटो में ही खाते है और सोते हैं।

मीडिया से उन्होंने बताया कि “शुरुआत में थोड़ी दिक्कत होती थी, पांव में दर्द भी होता था लेकिन अब आदत हो गई है। जब बेटी फोन पर बताती है कि वह क्लास में फर्स्ट आई है तो ये दर्द भी महसूस नहीं होता है।”
देशराज अब उस दिन का इंतजार कर रहे हैं जब उनकी बेटी ग्रैजुएट होकर टीचर बन जाएगी। उन्होंने फैसला किया है उस दिन के बाद से वह एक हफ्ते के लिए अपने ऑटो का किराया फ्री कर देंगे क्योकि वो उनके परिवार की पहले ग्रैजुएट होने जा रही है  और उन्हें उस पर गर्व है !
